Mrs. Givings: Kaity Talmage-Bowers
Kaity Talmage-Bowers returns to the Denver stage after nearly a decade away and is absolutely invigorated to be part of this electric production, working with such a talented cast and crew. A Denver native, Kaity received her BA in Drama from Loyola University New Orleans, where favorite shows include The Winter's Tale (Hermione), and The Oldest Profession (Ursula). The winds of Hurricane Katrina blew Kaity to Chicago where she spent five years working in front and back stage roles at various theaters including, The Goodman (King Lear), Victory Gardens (The Defiant Muse) and the Hypocrite Theater Company (Miss. Julie), while completing her Master's degree in Youth Development and Women's Studies. She is particularly enthusiastic about The Vibrator Play as the play’s issues are just as relevant as ever. Kaity is passionate about encouraging women to continue to empower themselves and each other by climbing on top and holding their own umbrellas!
Mrs. Daldry: Aimee Janelle Nelson
Aimee Janelle Nelson is pleased to be on stage in Denver, having recently relocated from San Diego, CA. This is Aimee's second show back in Denver, having recently appeared as Jenny in The Shape of Things (Silhouette Theatre). Recent San Diego credits include: The Women (The Old Globe), Anton in Show Business (6th at Penn), The Good Doctor (Carlsbad Playreaders), The Foreigner, Hay Fever, Bedroom Farce (Moonlight Stage Productions), Red Herring,The O'Connor Girls (Scripps Ranch Theatre), The Skin of our Teeth (Scripps Ranch Theatre and Moonlight Stage Play Readings), and The Tin Soldier (North Coast Repertory).
Mr. Daldry: Arthur Pierce
Arthur is pleased to be back with Equinox after a brief hiatus. Arthur has been involved with Equinox since it's beginning. He has been in both Reefer Madness as Jack and Frozen as Ralph. He has also co-directed The House of Yes with Deb. Arthur feels electrified and is abuzz with excitement to be re-teaming with Deb and the wonderful Equinox team.
Elizabeth: Lisa Young
Lisa's theatre career has included roles such as Ms. Odessa Mae Brown in Waiting to be Invited, Titituba in The Crucible, Mrs. Jenning's in Sense and Sensibility: the Musical, and Evilene in The Wiz. The acting bug bit in elementary school when she was selected for the New York City Performing Arts Council's Gifted and Talented Program. She is thrilled to work with Equinox. Bringing characters like Elizabeth alive is a dream come true. She would like to thank God, her loving husband Mike, her family and friends for their support as she continues to pursue her goals and dreams in the performing arts. Her ultimate goal is to act, direct and produce quality entertainment for the world!! (megalomaniac style) When not acting she is a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant and she hand crafts jewelry for her at home business Jules' Jewels by Lisa.
Leo: Adam Perkes
Adam Perkes is buzzing with excitement to be returning to his Equinox family with a role that is sure to get the ladies talking. His last electrical performance was as Ralph in their multi-seasonal run of Reefer Madness: The Musical. He is currently playing Mordred in Performance Now's production of Camelot. He has also been seen on the Miner's Alley Playhouse stage in various compromising positions. For the record, Adam Perkes owned a vibrator at one point but it died. Donations gladly accepted.
Annie: Linda Swanson-Brown
Linda Swanson Brown is vibrating with excitement to be working again with Equinox! She was last seen on this stage in her skivvies in Reefer Madness, and is delighted to be fully clothed for this play because she doesn’t have to spend as much time doing Pilates backstage. Other recent credits include High Society with Performance Now and The Grapes of Wrath with Vintage Theatre, where she will appear again this fall in The Cider House Rules. She is proud to be a new auntie to baby Leah, who will be spoiled rotten by her first birthday. Enjoy the play!
Director: Deb Flomberg
Deb is thrilled to be bringing In the Next Room or the Vibrator Play to the Denver audiences for the first time. Deb is one of the co-founders of Equinox and can also be seen writing about theatre as the Denver Theatre Examiner for Examiner.com. Previous directing credits include Stop Kiss, The House of Yes, and Below the Fold (Equinox Theatre), Lend Me a Tenor (The E Project) and The Tender Trap (Spotlight Theatre Company.) Deb would like to thank you, the audience, for supporting live theatre in Denver. Please help spread the word and keep theatre alive and thriving in Denver!
