Equinox Theatre Company is proud to announce auditions for the Regional Premier of “A Night at Fawlty Towers”
About the audition: Auditions will be March 3, 2013 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Bug Theatre, 3654 Navajo Street. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Please plan on staying for the full time. Sides will be posted at www.EquinoxTheatreDenver.com by February 15th so that you can prepare. Please be familiar with the television series.
Call Backs, if needed, will be March 4, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
“A Night at Fawlty Towers” will run from May 24 through June 15 at the Bug Theatre, 3654 Navajo Street. Performances will be Fri and Sat evenings and there will be one industry night TBA Rehearsals will be evenings and weekends only, with the schedule to be determined around those that are cast.
About the show: Written by John Cleese and Connie Booth, Fawlty Towers is a madcap, fast-paced farce that will keep you rolling in the aisles with laughter. Meet the snobbish, manic Basil; his over-coiffured domineering wife, Sybil; the hopeless but ever-hopeful waiter Manuel; the calm and capable Polly - and of course the steady stream of abused guests. Enjoy four episodes from the classic British Television Comedy that perfectly demonstrates the classic John Cleese-style of humor and mixes it with plenty of slapstick comedy fun. It's a night at the Inn that you will never forget.
Seeking: All roles are available Men and Women ages 30 - 80 British accent will be required (Except for the role of Manuel, who will have a Spanish accent.) This is a non-equity/no pay position.
