Equinox Theatre Company was founded by five active members of the Denver Theatre Community. Their mission is to show the lesser known side of theatre, to support and nurture new talent, and to prove there is a different way to present theatre to everyone. Equinox Theatre company is about change
About Our Board Members
Colin Roybal, Artistic Director
Colin Roybal is the Artistic Director, and a founding member of Equinox Theatre Company. Colin’s versatile talents in theatre have found him wearing many hats, including director, music director, choreographer, actor, designer, and stage manager. For Equinox Theatre company, Colin has served as director for the recent production of Frozen, for which he also did the set and lighting design, and as lighting and set designer for our first production, Below the Fold. In addition to the Equinox Theatre Company, Colin has also designed and acted in many shows around the Denver community, including recent design credits for Dial M For Murder (Vintage), Don’t Drink the Water (Spotlight), Mousetrap (Spotlight), Once on this Island (E Project), and Laughter on the 23rd Floor (Spotlight), as well as recent acting credits including Godspell (Jesus), Crazy for You (Mingo), 42nd Street (Andy), Little Shop of Horrors (Everybody else), A Chorus Line (Mark), Yours Anne (Peter), and Once on this Island (Daniel).
Deb Flomberg
Deb Flomberg is thrilled to be a founding member and part of the board of Equinox Theatre Company. Originally studying theatre at the University of Northern Colorado, Deb has been active in the Denver Theatre Community since 1997. She served as director and co-writer for the first show for Equinox – Below the Fold: A Blog on Stage and most recently co-directed their hit show The House of Yes. Her theatrical endeavors have brought her to several theatre companies across the state performing in the annual production of Night of the Living Dead (The Bug Theatre), Shakespeare’s Brother (Celebrationworks), Mother Hicks (Firehouse Theater), A Murder is Announced (Spotlight), Sylvia, 20th Century and Once on this Island (E Project.) Deb has also directed The Tender Trap (Spotlight,) Lend Me a Tenor (The E Project,) and The Wizard of Oz (P.A.A.L.) She is so excited to be a part of this new company and to bring new and different material to the Denver stage. You can also catch her online writing as the Denver Theatre Examiner.
Arthur Pierce
Arthur is a graduate of Midland Lutheran College where he received a degree in speech and theater. He has taught theater to high school students in both Thailand and Colorado. Arthur's acting credits include Salieri in Amadeus, Creon in Antigone, Audrey 2 in Little Shop of Horrors, Papa Ge in Once on This Island, and Ralph in Frozen. Arthur has also directed numerous plays at the high school level such as A Midsummer Nights Dream, Fiddler on the Roof, Importance of Being Earnest, Into the Woods, Children of Eden, and Once on This Island. Arthur met his fellow founding board members while performing at the E Project in Lakewood and is very pleased to be working with these talented people on a more regular basis.
Jonathan Ruiz
Jonathan Ruiz, born in California by way of Arizona, has now made his home in Denver and with Equinox. With a focus on technical proudction, Jonathan has had the honor of working on all past Equinox productions as a stage manager or sound operator. he has also worked with various Denver companies, including Celebrationworks, Vintage Theatre, Bug Theatre, and Papercat Productions. As a proud resident of The Land of Go For It, Jonathan is always eager to pursue new and challenging endevors, on his own or part of a greater whole.

Leticia Bisgard
Leticia (Tish) Bisgard is very proud to be part of Equinox Theatre Company. She started her affiliation with Equinox from almost the very beginning and is proud to now be an Equinox company member. Tish has worked backstage or in the booth for just about every theatre company in town including Spotlight, Vintage, E Project, and of course Equinox. Tish ran lights for the very first Equinox production, Below the Fold, and has been involved in some way with every production. Much love and Blessed Be!
Jessamyn Geesaman
Jessamyn Geesaman is a Denver actress, writer, and comedian. You may have seen her at various theaters around town, perhaps at Freak Train or in Night of the Living Dead. Even in a few local films. She was privileged to be cast in Equinox’s first venture “Below the Fold”, a resounding success. Jessamyn also enjoys set construction, special effects make up, and costuming. She always looks forward to working with the Equinox Company in any capacity.
Joseph Graves
Upon graduation from the DU Sturm College of law, Joseph Graves moved to L.A. for an internship at Sidley Austin Brown & Wood. While there, he decided to explore the world of acting and soon had the opportunity to be an extra in an HBO film, Walkout. He was also in a music video, One Blood, featuring Elijah Wood. Upon his return to Denver, Joseph worked as a production assistant for the The Real World 18, Denver House. Still interested in acting, he landed a role in the Eddie Murphy film, Imagine That (summer 2009 release), was cast in the play Inspecting Carol at the Miner’s Alley Playhouse in Golden, Colo., Below the Fold and also received roles in the off-Broadway hit, Tony & Tina’s Wedding and the play Dinah Was at Shadow Theatre, which enjoyed awards, great reviews and sold-out performances. Joseph had a short stint as a field engineer with his father’s company, Graves Analytical Services, before taking a position at Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll in Denver. He currently works at Denver Water as a legal administrator. He paints in his spare time and recently sold his first high-price painting.
Chris Johnson
Chris likes to consider himself a jack-of-all-trades of sorts when it comes to the theatre. Having found his way to Denver by way of Dallas and Seattle, Chris has been submersing himself in Theatre every chance he's had for the last 10 years. Having studied Drama at the University of Denver (B.A) and at Regis University (M.Ed), Chris has found love working in all areas including acting, directing, writing, designing, and all manner of stage craft. One of his greatest loves is teaching, having last taught drama at George Washington High School. He was first seen working with the wonderful group that is Equinox Theatre Company with their inaugural staging of Musical Shennanigans (company member). Since then he has worked on The House of Yes (sound design). With the ever amazing support of his wonderful wife Katie and his soon to arrive beautiful daughter Fiona, Chris excitedly looks forward to continue working with the Equinox Theatre Company for many shows to come!
Patrick Mann
Patrick Mann is a stage and film actor and co-producer for Paper Cat Films, a Denver based film company. Previous roles include Arnold Beckoff in Torch Song Trilogy (Theatre Group), Arnold Wiggins in The Boys Next Door (Vintage Theatre), Lexy Mills in Candida (Germinal Stage), Tuc in Mother Hicks (Firehouse Theatre Company), and Cadillac Jack and Waxler in Below the Fold: A Blog on Stage (Equinox Theatre Company). Previous film roles include Baby John St. Clair in Sunset Babylon (Paper Cat Films), and Henry in Great Gain (Perception Films).
Meg Ralph
Meg Ralph has been with Equinox from the very start, when it was "one small" idea shared between friends over Margaritas. Meg graduated from UNC with a BA in Theatre and a concentration in Acting. Having always had a creative passion, she is proud to be a founding member of Equinox and to have helped shape it's beginning and even it's name! Meg was in Equinox's first production, Below The Fold, as the Sister. She is not only an actress and an all around backstage ninja, but she is an accomplished photographer and an intuitive counselor as well. Meg can be found participating in theatre all over Denver, but she is always happy to work with her friends at Equinox and loves the interesting projects they take on!
Hillary Tae
Hillary Tae - Hillary graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with her BA in Acting. She appeared most recently in Equinox Theatre Company's Musical Shenanigans, and previously in the company's inaugural production, Below the Fold. Hillary also served as assistant director and light board operator for Equinox's production of Frozen. Over the past seven years, she has taught Children's Theatre and accrued numerous performing and technical credits at various theaters in Denver and Northern Colorado. Favorite roles include: Martha (Careless Love), Woman 2 (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change), Ti Moune (Once on This Island), & Anybodys (West Side Story).
